Magda Amara's Russian-Egyptian roots make her playing on the piano appear subtle and concise at the same time. Her sensitivity and passion make Magda Amara - as an accompanist or soloist - one
internationally sought-after concert pianist for chamber music .
As a result of her skills, she has performed in many renowned concert halls around the world. The Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam or the Lincoln Center in New York are among them. Invitations to participate in international festivals, including the Lucerne Festival, the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht or the Festival Dvorákova Praha, but also numerous collaborations with well-known orchestras such as the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the German State Philharmonic of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Brno reflect her class as an artist.
As a committed chamber musician whose repertoire includes more than 70 chamber music pieces, Magda Amara works with outstanding partners, including Janine Jansen, Julian Rachlin, Candida Thompson, Baiba Skride as well as with members of the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic and Czech Philharmonic. Magda Amara also shares a very close musical relationship with the cellist Harriet Krijgh. Her recordings of the cello sonatas by Brahms and Rachmaninoff on the Capriccio label are of the highest quality.
